Learn to Scuba Dive with Gobe, Colorado's Premier Scuba Training Facility!
Let us lead you into our exciting underwater world! Gobe Divers is a Scuba Schools International(SSI) Platinum Training facility, SSI's highest level of recognition. We have an experienced, fun group of instructors who will work with you until you are completely comfortable in the water!
At Gobe, we want to provide a unique, personal experience for each of our students. That's why we limit our class sizes to 6 students in the water with an instructor and an assistant, and we provide two additional pool sessions prior to open water training. Knowledge and practice makes students comfortable and confident, and this is what makes you love diving!
Become a Certified Diver Using SSI's 3 Step Teaching System:
1. Home Study
Enroll in a class and stop by the shop to pick up your Home Study Kit, which contains a SSI Manual/Study Guide, Dive Tables, Zippered Log Book with SSI's Total Log System and a carrying pouch. The user-friendly manual and optional DVD will introduce you to diving at your convience. Complete the program and you are ready for class!
Please allow 2 weeks for home study, as the reading/quizzes take approximately 6 hours to complete. End-of-chapter quizzes must be completed prior to class.
2. Classroom and Pool Training (choose a format that meets your needs)
Spend approximately 10 hours of classroom training and 10 hours of pool training to complete this portion of your certification. Half your time is spent in our olympic size pool!
3. Open Water Dives
Complete your certification by demonstrating the skills you learned in the pool to an instructor in 5 open water dives over two days.
